Recruitment & training
Recruitment and training: the 22-hour refresh, trials and VP
Official-source guide · Reviewed
The short answer
A roster refresh, a trial recruit and training are separate actions. Check the roster and the individual before committing VP or tickets.
The 22-hour timer refreshes candidates
Official roster notices describe a new lineup every 22 hours without VP. Rosters have different eligible Pokémon. The linked M-B notice is historical, not today’s roster; check Roster Info in-game.
A trial is not a finished build
A free daily trial is available, but trial recruits cannot be trained. Use the trial to explore a team role before committing resources; an untrained trial is not the finished build.
Tickets serve different purposes
A Quick Coupon cuts one hour of waiting; a Teammate Ticket replaces VP for permanent recruitment; a Training Ticket removes the VP training cost. Training adjusts stats, moves and Abilities. Confirm costs in-game.
Before you act
- Check the current roster first.
- Test the team role before permanent recruitment.
- Separate refresh, recruitment and training resources.
Scope of this guide
