Roster & HOME
Pokémon HOME linking: visitors, returns and restrictions
Official-source guide · Reviewed
The short answer
HOME visitors and in-game recruits have different return rules. Visitors can return to HOME; Pokémon recruited in Champions cannot be sent there.
Start with the origin
Returning a recruit to Roster Ranch is not HOME storage: that individual cannot be encountered again. HOME visitors can return to HOME and visit again later.
Visitor eligibility is limited
Only Pokémon supported by Champions can visit. Check the battle regulation separately. Champions training does not transfer to HOME; a returning visitor retains training unless it returns in a different form.
If you cannot find a returned visitor
Search HOME using the original nickname. A Champions battle name does not change the HOME nickname.
Before you act
- Identify visitor versus recruit.
- Check visitor eligibility, then the battle regulation.
- Verify the individual before returning it.
Scope of this guide
Based on the official pages and support documents linked below. No phone datamines or battle testing are included. Our suggestions are distinguished from official rules. Check in-game information for current eligibility, costs, seasons and claim periods.
