Mega Greninja exSuicune ex

Mega Greninja ex / Suicune ex

doncucca · 2 / 83

DR KELP’S CHUM BUCKET POP UP
Event date · · Checked 2026-11-03

Game plan

Use Greninja for targeted Bench damage and Mega Greninja ex for a 100-damage attack that prevents the defender from retreating next turn. Suicune ex supplies early attacks and end-of-turn draw while the evolution lines develop.

Opening

Develop Froakie through Frogadier: playing this Frogadier from hand can put another Frogadier from the deck onto the Bench. The single Rare Candy offers a shortcut, but skipping Frogadier also skips that evolution trigger.

Cautions

Choose which Stage 2 each evolution line needs before evolving. Greninja ex offers switching rather than Water Shuriken, and the Mega risks three points. Recount Suicune's damage as either Bench changes; this result is one submitted list, not a matchup win-rate estimate.

Mega Tyranitar ex

Mega Tyranitar ex

𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗧 | Mewtwo · 8 / 304

Dark League Tournament | $50 Prize Pool
Event date · · Checked 2026-11-03

Game plan

Pupitar can attack to attach two Fighting Energy to itself. After evolving, Mega Tyranitar ex uses those Energy for the Colorless part of its 180-damage attack; it still needs two Darkness Energy.

Opening

Develop Larvitar through Pupitar normally: this list has no Rare Candy and only one Mega Tyranitar. The suggested Darkness-only Energy Zone supplies the required Darkness attachments while Pupitar's attack supplies Fighting.

Cautions

Mega Tyranitar ex discards the top two cards of your own deck when attacking. Plan remaining evolution and healing resources before repeated attacks. A four-Energy attack and a three-point Knock Out make an unprepared Mega a costly Pokémon to expose.

Mega Absol exUmbreon

Mega Absol ex / Umbreon

𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗮 Preluxe · 5 / 304

Dark League Tournament | $50 Prize Pool
Event date · · Checked 2026-11-03

Game plan

An Active Eevee can evolve immediately into Umbreon. Umbreon's one-Darkness attack deals 80 against a Basic Active Pokémon, but only 30 against other stages, so check the defender before choosing this opening.

Opening

Mega Absol ex attacks while discarding a Supporter from the opponent's revealed hand. Mega Sableye ex offers a separate attack that returns 40 damage if it is hit on the opponent's next turn. Plan which attacker receives the next Energy.

Cautions

Use Cyrus only when there is a damaged Benched target to pull forward. The list has several attacking routes, but each Mega risks three points when Knocked Out. Do not treat Umbreon's Basic-only bonus or Sableye's temporary counterattack effect as unconditional damage.

Mega Charizard Y exFuecoco ex

Mega Charizard Y ex / Fuecoco ex

PGX | HectorDF · 7 / 83

DR KELP’S CHUM BUCKET POP UP
Event date · · Checked 2026-11-03

Game plan

Fuecoco ex provides early pressure: its second attack rises from 50 to 120 when it has damage on it. Mega Charizard Y ex supplies the larger 250-damage finish, while Charizard gives a non-Mega Charizard option.

Opening

Develop the Charmander line and use Charmeleon when played from hand to attach a Fire Energy from the Zone to your Active Fire Pokémon. This is a one-time evolution trigger, not an Ability that can be reused each turn.

Cautions

Blue’s Provocation requires the regular Charizard in play; Mega Charizard Y alone does not meet that printed condition. Count the Mega's 50 self-damage before attacking, and remember its Knock Out gives up three points. Zone attachments to the regular Charizard trigger extra damage; discard-pile attachments do not.
